Full-On Vacation Mode

My friends, I have been in full vacation mode this month. All of the traveling and exploring Robbie and I have been doing makes it feel like we're on summer vacation, with a couple of work days thrown in during the week.

Last weekend, we checked out Austin's Green Belt with some out-of-town friends for the first time. We found a swimming hole with a little waterfall and a rope swing. Let me tell you, rope swings are not for the faint of heart. You need something called upper body strength to hold on for dear life while you swing.

For people who are lacking the minimum requirement of upper body strength to swing on a rope swing- ahem, me- the end results can be embarrassing. As soon as my feet left the ground my upper body strength, or lack thereof, gave out and I swung out a good foot or two before I had to let go of the rope. Ridiculously embarrassing.

Robbie and I are off on another adventure this weekend to San Diego and couldn't be happier. The cool ocean breeze, 75 degree weather and almond wine on the Moen's patio sounds like a dream come true. Weekend, please get here already!

  1. Isn't the greenbelt great! Last time I was there some guys had installed a tight rope right past the Sculpture Falls area. It was pretty awesome sitting on the falls watching them make it across!
